Peter Gear Bio.

       Peter Gear has worked on ISIS from its beginning in 1978. 
       Initially responsible for developing the H-minus ion
       source, he subsequently became involved in the
       commissioning of the pre-injector, 70-MeV linac and 800-MeV
       synchrotron, as their build progressed, so developing
       considerable in-depth knowledge and skills associated with
       their operation.  He became an ISIS Duty officer (shift
       leader) in 1986 and Head, ISIS Operations and Installation
       Group in 1991.
