Bio for Bob Miller, the Operations Group Leader for ALS 

Bob Miller has worked at LBNL for over 37 years.
He has a wealth of experience  in maintaining, operating, and supervising the various LBL accelerators, 
including the  Bevatron, Bevalac, and the ALS.
He has worked at ALS since 1989 as an installation coordinator for the storage ring and moved into 
operations when commissioning began in 1992. 
His responsibilities at ALS include: 
Operations Group Leader, budget, schedule, maintenance and upgrade project
planning.
Hiring supervision and scheduling operations staff.
Planning and coordinating maintenance repairs and machine operations.
Building Manager for ALS complex and contact for LNBL crafts and contractors working in and around 
ALS.
