Dear Colleague, My name is Ron Lauze from Jefferson Lab, and if you attended the 1996 Operations Workshop held at Jefferson Lab in Virginia, we may have already met. I'm also involved with the 1998 Workshop on Accelerator Operations, which will be held in Vancouver in May. Part of my involvement includes putting together a session to discuss maintenance. Speakers from four labs (Fermi, Jefferson Lab, Northrop Grumman, and CERN) have already agreed to give talks on maintenance. I'm now looking for people willing to participate in a poster session explaining how maintenance is dealt with at the individual labs. We would like to have posters from as many of the attending Labs as possible. I am contacting you to ask for your help for one of two reasons: 1) I know that you are involved with maintenance at your lab and it would be great if you could prepare a poster, or 2) You have signed up for the workshop, and although you may not be directly involved with maintenance, we would greatly appreciate having your lab participate in the poster session (i.e., could you please direct this inquiry to the appropriate person). General workshop information is available on the workshop web site at http://www.triumf.ca/wao98/ Specific details concerning poster sessions and poster preparation are available at http://www.triumf.ca/wao98/format.html#posters Two linked documents, the Poster Request Letter and the Suggested Poster Format (both in Acrobat .pdf format), provide the necessary information. NOTE: These two documents are in Acrobat .pdf format and require the Adobe Acrobat Reader software for viewing. If you do not already have a copy of this free software available on your computer, you can download if from http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html I'll close by saying that the '96 Workshop was a great success, and with your help, the '98 Workshop will be even better. Please help by signing up for a poster session. I look forward to hearing from you.
